This is the best Jamaican spot I’ve found in metro Detroit. I tried the jerk chicken, curry goat, oxtails, and mac & cheese. Everything was wonderful. The preparations are different than other Jamaican places in the area. The goat was so tender. The sauces are incredible. Also incredible is the hospitality. They’re so kind & generous. Don’t skip the wonderful sorrel, pineapple, & ginger juice.
I really enjoyed the curry chicken I got from here. The rice and peas and plantains were great as well. They even gave me a ginger lemonade for being a first time customer. Still, what really won me over was the hospitality. I almost never feel as welcomed as a customer as I did at this establishment. You can tell they care about what they do here. I'll be back to try their vegetarian options as well.
Food was so good I came back to give it 5+ stars lol This food DID NOT make it home. I pulled over to enjoy it. Silly me tho b/c when I got home it was still hot. The lady working was pleasant. Beautiful soul u can tell she cared abt the food everything was fresh! Jerk chicken ❤️🔥 authentic seasoned well. Nice char. The veggies. Plantains (and I don’t even like those) were very satisfying!!!! Can’t wait to get oxtails. They will be my goto for Jamaican. Thank you.
